Wonderfully creepy but beautiful at the same time.
I can't even begin to convey my response to this piece. When I first saw it, I immediately thought "Oh, that's a panel from...no, it's not...it can't be, but is it..." And so on, in a cycle of disorientation. I keep feeling as if this is a panel I remember seeing, even though I know it isn't and couldn't be. Like a comic I bought in a dream; I have a lot of dreams where I find nonexistent comics. Or an artifact from a parallel universe where the pulp SF of the late Forties coexists with the psychedelia of the late Sixties and the production values and color holds of the late Eighties. Ah, I told you I couldn't convey it. Anyway, this is good.
